Trying to put in some pictures....

Okay so that didn't work so well!

I am going to try this again! haha. Public humiliation on you Steve and me for starting something and not finishing it or contributing to it or making it happen. No worries. I am back at it and seeing these pictures make me sad that I haven't kept this up. Matthew is now 5 and in school...we continue to homeschool and Steve still works at Wake. If you know me you know all this of course and who else would read this drivel unless you knew us. SO I am writing that because it will help me remember stuff later. I have noticed little details falling out of my brain lately so I am going to take this opportunity to remind myself later of my charmed life.

In about 45 days we embark on the adventure of a lifetime to live in Vienna Austria for 119 days. Flight out Charlotte to Munich then on to Vienna on Jan 4th and flight back Rome to Munich to Charlotte. What will we do when we are supposed to be gone from the house in Vienna May 5th and have to return from Rome on May 17th you ask? We dunno and will figure that out later! Love to any poor soul to reads this. Not such a good writer but am working on it!

So glad people responded to the

post I sent recently. We are sitting here getting ready to go to Florida tomorrow to visit our dear 1st set of friends in Winston Salem. They have all since moved as have our second and third set of friends but how blessed we are to have friends near and far, lots of free places to stay around the country. Speaking of friends, on MC's 2nd birthday we had a bash to show some friends how much they mean to us and honor Matthew's life. We had some fun, some chaos, and some cake.

Just getting into this thing......

Well, I said I am going to do it and here goes. My first blog. Funny how Blogger sounds a lot like booger. Oh well, as we are bringing up Giles we have a lot of those too so it is appropriate. I created this site to keep family and friends updated on the weekly happenings of the little Giles family in NC. What's going on this week, what is not going on. To name a few exciting things in the family, Uncle Tony is back from his deployment, Aunt Julie and Uncle Franco are having a baby, Aunt Lisa and Almost Uncle Ken (as Lillian calls him) are getting married and Lillian and Aiden are pumped to get to be part of their big day, Daddy is doing his firs triathlon this weekend and Uncle Brian is doing his 1st full triathlon this weekend. So much to be excited about. Lillian has been jumping off the diving board at the pool like a fiend and Aiden put his face in the water and sat on the bottom of the pool, and Matthew is swimming under water (yep he is the one who just turned 2). We enjoyed visits from Grandpa and Baba in June, and are eargerly looking forward to a visit from Nana, Emmalee, and Gabriel in July, and then a visit from Papaw and Ms. Linda. More to come.
